Related Product Information for anti-NCK2 antibody
This gene encodes a member of the NCK family of adaptor proteins. The protein contains three SH3 domains and one SH2 domain. The protein has no known catalytic function but has been shown to bind and recruit various proteins involved in the regulation of receptor protein tyrosine kinases. It is through these regulatory activities that this protein is believed to be involved in cytoskeletal reorganization. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

Uniprot Description

NCK2: Adapter protein which associates with tyrosine- phosphorylated growth factor receptors or their cellular substrates. Maintains low levels of EIF2S1 phosphorylation by promoting its dephosphorylation by PP1. Plays a role in ELK1- dependent transcriptional activation in response to activated Ras signaling.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum; cytoplasm; vesicle membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor signaling complex scaffold activity; SH3/SH2 adaptor activity; cytoskeletal adaptor activity

Biological Process: lamellipodium biogenesis; epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; axon guidance; cell migration; positive regulation of signal transduction; T cell activation; regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor activity; negative regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; actin filament organization; signal complex assembly; signal transduction; regulation of translation; negative regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of actin filament polymerization; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of T cell proliferation; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes

The NCK2 nck2 (Catalog #AAA9128779) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCK2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB 1:500 - 1:2000 IHC 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCK2 nck2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCK2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
