Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in Ramos cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS649745. This demonstrates that MBS649745 detected the NCF1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lung carcinoma using MBS649745 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use MBS649745 for immunohistochemistry.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a 47 kDa cytosolic subunit of neutrophil NADPH oxidase. This oxidase is a multicomponent enzyme that is activated to produce superoxide anion. Mutations in this gene have been associated with chronic granulomatous disease. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Function: NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane bound cytochrome b558 are required for activation of the latent NADPH oxidase (necessary for superoxide production). Ref.21
Subunit structure: Interacts with NOXA1. Interacts with ADAM15. Interacts with TRAF4. Interacts with FASLG. Ref.16 Ref.17 Ref.18 Ref.19 Ref.20
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Ref.16.
Post-translational modification: Phosphorylated by PRKCD; phosphorylation induces activation of NCF1 and NADPH oxidase activity. Ref.15 Ref.21
Involvement in disease: Granulomatous disease, chronic, cytochrome-b-positive 1, autosomal recessive (CGD1) [MIM:233700]: A disorder characterized by the inability of neutrophils and phagocytes to kill microbes that they have ingested. Patients suffer from life-threatening bacterial/fungal infections.Note: The disease is caused by mutations affecting the gene represented in this entry. Ref.13 Ref.23
Sequence similarities: Contains 1 PX (phox homology) domain.Contains 2 SH3 domains.
Sequence caution: The sequence BAF84783.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended. The sequence BAG54596.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended.

Product Notes
The NCF1 ncf1 (Catalog #AAA649745) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCF1, NT (NCF1, NOXO2, SH3PXD1A, Neutrophil cytosol factor 1, 47kD autosomal chronic granulomatous disease protein, 47kD neutrophil oxidase factor, NCF-47K, Neutrophil NADPH oxidase factor 1, Nox organizer 2, Nox-organizing protein 2, SH3 and PX domain-co reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCF1 ncf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
