Related Product Information for anti-NCAPG antibody
Function: Regulatory subunit of the condensin complex, a complex required for conversion of interphase chromatin into mitotic-like condense chromosomes. The condensin complex probably introduces positive supercoils into relaxed DNA in the presence of type I topoisomerases and converts nicked DNA into positive knotted forms in the presence of type II topoisomerases.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a subunit of the condensin complex, which is responsible for the condensation and stabilization of chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. Phosphorylation of the encoded protein activates the condensin complex. There are pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 8 and 15. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]

Uniprot Description

Regulatory subunit of the condensin complex, a complex required for conversion of interphase chromatin into mitotic-like condense chromosomes. The condensin complex probably introduces positive supercoils into relaxed DNA in the presence of type I topoisomerases and converts nicked DNA into positive knotted forms in the presence of type II topoisomerases.

Product Notes

The NCAPG ncapg (Catalog #AAA9605424) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCAPG Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCAPG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). WB 1:500-1:1000 IF/ICC 1:100-1:500 ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:400000 *The optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user. IMPORTANT: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v milk, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween®20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCAPG ncapg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCAPG, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
