Applicable Applications for anti-NAT10 antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Colon shows nuclear staining in absorptive cells. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 26kDa band in Human Brain (Cerebellum, Frontal Cortex and Hippocampus) lysates after 0. 01ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 116kDa according to NP_078938.1. The 26kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-KSDKKRKLEAKQ, from the internal region (near the C Terminus) of the protein sequence according to NP_078938.1.
Epitope
Internal region (near the C Terminus)
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Uniprot Description

ALP: Has protein acetyltransferase activity in vitro. Can acetylate both histones and microtubules. Histone acetylation may regulate transcription and mitotic chromosome de-condensation. Activates telomerase activity by stimulating the transcription of TERT, and may also regulate telomerase function by affecting the balance of telomerase subunit assembly, disassembly, and localization. Acetylates alpha-tubulin, which may affect microtubule stability and cell division. Belongs to the UPF0202 family.

Protein type: Acetyltransferase; Nucleolus; EC 2.3.1.-

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p13

Cellular Component: membrane; nuclear chromosome, telomeric region; nucleolus; nucleoplasm; nucleus; telomerase holoenzyme complex

Molecular Function: ATP binding; N-acetyltransferase activity; protein binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of telomere maintenance via telomerase; rRNA modification; tRNA processing

The 26kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NAT10 nat10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: KSDKKRKLEA KQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NAT10/hALP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
