Related Product Information for anti-NLRP7 antibody
NALP7 Antibody: NOD proteins include the apoptosis regulator APAF1 (apoptotic protease activating factor 1) and mammalian NOD-LRR proteins. NALP7, also known as PYPAF3, a member of the related PYRIN-containing APAF1-like proteins (PYPAFs/NALPs) is thought to play a crucial role in cell proliferation. NALP7 has a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region, an N-terminal Pyrin domain (PYD) followed by a NACHT domain, and a NACHT-associated domain. It is expressed in numerous tissues including uterus and ovary, with low levels in heart and brain. NALP7 inhibits caspase-1-dependent interleukin-1β secretion and is a feedback regulator of interleukin-1β secretion. Defects in the NALP7 gene are known to cause the formation of a hydatidiform mole (HYDM) and reduce the growth of carcinoma cell lines.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the NACHT, leucine rich repeat, and PYD containing (NLRP) protein family. It has an N-terminal pyrin domain, followed by a NACHT domain, a NACHT-associated domain (NAD), and a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region. NLRP proteins are implicated in the activation of proinflammatory caspases through multiprotein complexes called inflammasomes. This gene may act as a feedback regulator of caspase-1-dependent interleukin 1-beta secretion. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

NLRP7: Inhibits CASP1/caspase-1-dependent IL1B secretion. Defects in NLRP7 are the cause of hydatidiform mole recurrent type 1 (HYDM1). A disorder characterized by excessive trophoblast development and the presence of a growing mass of tissue inside the uterus at the beginning of a pregnancy. It leads to abnormal pregnancies with no embryo, and cystic degeneration of the chorionic villi. Belongs to the NLRP family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Apoptosis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.42

Product Notes

The NLRP7 nlrp7 (Catalog #AAA150857) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NALP7 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NALP7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). NALP7 antibody can be used for detection of NALP7 by Western blot at 1 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 10 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NLRP7 nlrp7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NALP7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
