Related Product Information for anti-WASL antibody
This gene encodes a member of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS) protein family. Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome proteins share similar domain structure, and associate with a variety of signaling molecules to alter the actin cytoskeleton. The encoded protein is highly expressed in neural tissues, and interacts with several proteins involved in cytoskeletal organization, including cell division control protein 42 (CDC42) and the actin-related protein-2/3 (ARP2/3) complex. The encoded protein may be involved in the formation of long actin microspikes, and in neurite extension. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Regulates actin polymerization by stimulating the actin-nucleating activity of the Arp2/3 complex (PubMed:9422512, PubMed:16767080, PubMed:19366662, PubMed:19487689, PubMed:22847007, PubMed:22921828). Involved in various processes, such as mitosis and cytokinesis, via its role in the regulation of actin polymerization (PubMed:9422512, PubMed:19366662, PubMed:19487689, PubMed:22847007, PubMed:22921828). Together with CDC42, involved in the extension and maintenance of the formation of thin, actin-rich surface projections called filopodia (PubMed:9422512). In addition to its role in the cytoplasm, also plays a role in the nucleus by regulating gene transcription, probably by promoting nuclear actin polymerization (PubMed:16767080). Binds to HSF1/HSTF1 and forms a complex on heat shock promoter elements (HSE) that negatively regulates HSP90 expression. Plays a role in dendrite spine morphogenesis.

Product Notes

The WASL wasl (Catalog #AAA4752138) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The N WASP Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's N WASP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 1:1000-1:2000 IHC: 1:20-1:50 ICC/IF: 1:50 FC/FACS: 1:20-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WASL wasl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "N WASP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
