Related Product Information for anti-MYRIP antibody
Rab effector protein involved in melanosome transport. Serves as link between melanosome-bound RAB27A and the motor proteins MYO5A and MYO7A. May link RAB27A-containing vesicles to actin filaments. Functions as a protein kinase A-anchoring protein (AKAP). May act as a scaffolding protein that links PKA to components of the exocytosis machinery, thus facilitating exocytosis, including insulin release (By similarity).

Uniprot Description

MYRIP: Rab effector protein involved in melanosome transport. Serves as link between melanosome-bound RAB27A and the motor proteins MYO5A and MYO7A. May link RAB27A-containing vesicles to actin filaments. Functions as a protein kinase A-anchoring protein (AKAP). May act as a scaffolding protein that links PKA to components of the exocytosis machinery, thus facilitating exocytosis, including insulin release. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p22.1

Cellular Component: cortical actin cytoskeleton; perinuclear region of cytoplasm

Molecular Function: actin binding; myosin binding; protein binding; Rab GTPase binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of insulin secretion; vesicle transport along actin filament

Product Notes

The MYRIP myrip (Catalog #AAA7053090) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MYRIP Antibody, HRP conjugated reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MYRIP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYRIP myrip for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MYRIP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
