Uniprot Description

Function: Required for cytoplasmic astral microtubule growth during mitosis. Involved in localizing components of the gamma-tubulin complex to the non-spindle pole body (non-SPB) microtubule organizing centers (MTOCs). Required for new microtubule nucleation from non-SPB sites during interphase. Ref.1 Ref.3

Subunit structure: Interacts with mcp6. Ref.1

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm › cytoskeleton › microtubule organizing center › spindle pole body. Note: Localizes at the interphase MTOC (iMTOC) and at the equatorial MTOC (eMTOC) at the end of mitosis. Ref.1 Ref.3 Ref.4

Product Notes

The mto1 mbo1 (Catalog #AAA6004520) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MTO1, CT (Mitochondrial Translation Optimization 1 Homolog, CGI-02) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MTO1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 20ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the mto1 mbo1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MTO1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
