Related Product Information for anti-MRCKbeta antibody
Function: Serine/threonine-protein kinase which is an important downstream effector of CDC42 and plays a role in the regulation of cytoskeleton reorganization and cell migration. Regulates actin cytoskeletal reorganization via phosphorylation of PPP1R12C and MYL9/MLC2 (PubMed:21457715, PubMed:21949762). In concert with MYO18A and LURAP1, is involved in modulating lamellar actomyosin retrograde flow that is crucial to cell protrusion and migration (PubMed:18854160). Phosphorylates PPP1R12A (PubMed:21457715). In concert with FAM89B/LRAP25 mediates the targeting of LIMK1 to the lamellipodium resulting in its activation and subsequent phosphorylation of CFL1 which is important for lamellipodial F-actin regulation (By similarity).
Subunit Structure: Homodimer and homotetramer via the coiled coil regions (PubMed:21949762). Interacts tightly with GTP-bound but not GDP-bound CDC42. Interacts with TJP1, when in the presence of catalytically active CDC42 (By similarity). Forms a tripartite complex with MYO18A and LURAP1 with the latter acting as an adapter connecting CDC42BPB and MYO18A. LURAP1 binding results in activation of CDC42BPB by abolition of its negative autoregulation (PubMed:18854160). Interacts with STRIP1, STRN3 and SIKE1 (PubMed:25743393). Interacts with CPNE4 (via VWFA domain). Interacts with LURAP1. Interacts (via AGC-kinase C-terminal domain) with FAM89B/LRAP25 (via LRR repeat). Forms a tripartite complex with FAM89B/LRAP25 and LIMK1 (By similarity).
Similarity: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family. DMPK subfamily.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The encoded protein contains a Cdc42/Rac-binding p21 binding domain resembling that of PAK kinase. The kinase domain of this protein is most closely related to that of myotonic dystrophy kinase-related ROK. Studies of the similar gene in rat suggested that this kinase may act as a downstream effector of Cdc42 in cytoskeletal reorganization. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The MRCKbeta cdc42bpb (Catalog #AAA9602159) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MRCKbeta Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MRCKbeta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000 IHC: 1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MRCKbeta cdc42bpb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MRCKbeta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
