Related Product Information for anti-MEOX1 antibody
MOX1 Antibody: MOX1, also known as MEOX1, is a member of a subfamily of non-clustered, diverged, antennapedia-like homeobox-containing genes that is first expressed during gastrulation in the early mesoderm and later in presomitic mesoderm, early somites, dermomyotome and sclerotome. Both MOX1 and the related protein MOX2 are required for proper gene expression in all somitic compartments. MOX1 is an upstream regulator of the transcription factors Bapx1, Tbx18, and Uncx and is thus part of a regulatory circuit that functions in the maintenance of rostrocaudal sclerotome polarity and axial skeleton formation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of non-clustered, diverged, antennapedia-like homeobox-containing genes. The encoded protein may play a role in the molecular signaling network regulating somite development. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

MEOX1: Role in mesoderm induction and its earliest regional specification, somitogenesis, and myogenic and sclerotomal differentiation. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The MEOX1 meox1 (Catalog #AAA150345) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MOX1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MOX1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). MOX1 antibody can be used for detection of MOX1 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunocytochemistry starting at 10 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MEOX1 meox1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MOX1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
