Biological Significance
MIP 1 is a 60 amino acid CC chemokine with a molecular weight of 7. 9 kDa. MIP 1 induces migration of monocytes/macrophages, B lymphocytes, activated CD8+ T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, eosinophils. MIP 1 also stimulates basophils to release histamine, induces ICAM 1 expression, mast cell degranulation, and production of TNF, IL 1 and IL 6. In addition to its proinflammatory activities, MIP 1 inhibits the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells in vitro and in vivo.
Cross-Reactivity
Mouse, Rat
Immunogen
MIP 1 alpha antibody was raised in Rabbit using E Coliexpressed mature rat MIP-1 as the immunogen.

Product Notes

The MIP 1 alpha (Catalog #AAA835310) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's MIP 1 alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). IP: 4-8 ug/ml WB: 0.5-4 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MIP 1 alpha for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIP 1 alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
