Rabbit anti-Human MERTK Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MERTK antibody
MERTK Antibody
IF~~1:10~50
IHC-P~~1:50~10
FC~~1:10~50
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lymphoma reacted with MERTK Antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of jurkat cells using MERTK Antibody(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Western Blot (WB)
(MER Antibody western blot analysis in Jurkat cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the MER antibody detected the MER protein (arrow).)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent image of U251 cell stained with MERTK Antibody. U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with MERTK primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min).MERTK immunoreactivity is localized to Vesicles significantly.)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the MER/AXL/TYRO3 receptor kinase family and encodes a transmembrane protein with two fibronectin type-III domains, two Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains, and one tyrosine kinase domain. Mutations in this gene have been associated with disruption of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) phagocytosis pathway and onset of autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Uniprot Description
Mer: a proto-oncogene receptor tyrosine-protein kinase of the Axl family. Binds several ligands including LGALS3, Tubby, TULP1 or GAS6. Regulates many physiological processes including cell survival, migration, differentiation, and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells (efferocytosis). Functions in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) as a regulator of rod outer segments fragments phagocytosis. Plays also an important role in inhibition of Toll-like receptors (TLRs)-mediated innate immune response by activating STAT1, which selectively induces production of suppressors of cytokine signaling SOCS1 and SOCS3

Product Notes
The MERTK mertk (Catalog #AAA9200853) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MERTK Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MERTK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). WB~~1:1000 IF~~1:10~50 IHC-P~~1:50~10 FC~~1:10~50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MERTK mertk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MERTK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
