NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Molecular Weight: 1137 (1123)
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that interacts specifically with the GTP-bound Rac1 and plays a role in the Rho/Rac signaling pathways. A variant in this gene was associated with osteoarthritis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Uniprot Description
ARHGEF14: Guanine nucleotide exchange factor that potentially links pathways that signal through RAC1, RHOA and CDC42. Catalyzes guanine nucleotide exchange on RHOA and CDC42 and interacts specifically with the GTP-bound form of RAC1, suggesting that it functions as an effector of RAC1. May also participate in axonal transport in the brain. Becomes activated and highly tumorigenic by truncation of the N-terminus. Isoform 5 activates CDC42. Belongs to the MCF2 family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: GEFs; GEFs, Rac/Rho; Oncoprotein

Product Notes
The MCF2L mcf2l (Catalog #AAA9129097) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MCF2L Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MCF2L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:1000 - 1:4000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MCF2L mcf2l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MCF2L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
