Western Blot (WB)

(Western Blot Analysis: EGF treated A431 lysates were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-MARCKS PHOSPHO SER152/156 (1:500 dilution of this lot). Proteins were visualized using a donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates phosphorylated MARCKS (~80 kD).)

Related Product Information for anti-LOC396473 antibody
Myristoylated Alanine-Rich C-Kinase Substrate (MARCKS) is a widely expressed substrate of PKC. MARCKS is essential in neuronal development, as mice deficient in it die shortly after birth. Through its basic effector region, MARCKS associates with acidic membrane phospholipids, actin filaments, and calmodulin. Poly (ADP-ribose) also binds the basic effector region, blocking calmodulin binding, membrane association, and phosphorylation by PKC, suggesting that MARCKS may be an effector of the DNA-damage signal transduced by poly (ADP-ribose).

Product Notes

The LOC396473 marcks (Catalog #AAA620589) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MARCKS, phosphorylated (Ser152/156) (myristoylated alanine-rich protein kinase C substrate, 80K-L, 80K-L Protein, FLJ14368, FLJ90045, MACS, Myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate, PKCSL, PRKCSL, Protein kinase C substrate, 80kD Protein, Light Chain reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MARCKS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LOC396473 marcks for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MARCKS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
