Rabbit anti-Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CCL20 antibody
Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha, Human (MIP-3a, Exodus, LARC)
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Dilution: Neutralization: 15-18ug/ml will yield one-half maximal inhibition (ND50) of the biological activity of hMIP-3-alpha (100ng/ml).
ELISA (Direct): 0.5ug/ml (100ul/well) allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hMIP-3-alpha.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Detection limit for recombinant hMIP-3-alpha is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This antimicrobial gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The protein encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and can repress proliferation of myeloid progenitors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Uniprot Description
CCL20: Chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. May be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. C-terminal processed forms have been shown to be equally chemotactically active for leukocytes. Possesses antibacterial activity E.coli ATCC 25922 and S.aureus ATCC 29213. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Chemokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q36.3
Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region
Molecular Function: protein binding; chemokine activity
Biological Process: cell-cell signaling; wound healing; defense response to bacterium; immune response; signal transduction; chemotaxis; positive regulation of interleukin-1 alpha biosynthetic process; inflammatory response; positive regulation of nitric-oxide synthase biosynthetic process

The CCL20 ccl20 (Catalog #AAA624509) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha, Human (MIP-3a, Exodus, LARC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Neutralization. Suitable for use in Neutralization, ELISA and Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL20 ccl20 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
