Related Product Information for anti-CCL4L1 antibody
MIP-1 alpha is a member of the CC chemokine family of proteins which have been shown to be produced by numerous cell types including activated T cells, B cells, monocytes, mast cells and endothelial cells. MIP-1a acts as a monocyte chemoattractant and has been shown to act as a stem cell inhibitory factor.

NCBI Description

This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. This protein is similar to CCL4 which inhibits HIV entry by binding to the cellular receptor CCR5. The copy number of this gene varies among individuals; most individuals have 1-5 copies in the diploid genome, although rare individuals do not contain this gene at all. The human genome reference assembly contains two copies of this gene. This record represents the more centromeric gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CCL4L1: Chemokine that induces chemotaxis of cells expressing CCR5 or CCR1. Inhibits HIV replication in peripheral blood monocytes that express CCR5. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 10 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Chemokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q12

Product Notes

The CCL4L1 ccl4l1 (Catalog #AAA621030) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1a (MIP-1a) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Gel Shift Assay (GS/EMSA). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Dot Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoassays, development of rapid tests and other antibody recognition assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL4L1 ccl4l1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1a, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
