Related Product Information for anti-LZTR2 antibody
LZTR2, also known as RGPR-p117, is a member of the BTB-kelch superfamily and was initially described as a nuclear factor I (NFI) binding protein and transcriptional regulator of the regucalcin gene. LZTR2 is cytoplasmically localized but is thought to translocate to the nucleus, a process mediated by protein kinase C signaling following hormonal stimulation. Recent evidence has suggested that there is a strong correlation of single nucleotide polymorphisms of LZTR2 with obesity in the Japanese population similar to that seen with the TMEM18 gene and the GNPDA2, BDNF, FAIM2, and MC4R genes with obesity in Caucasian populations, suggesting LZTR2 may play a role in metabolism and obesity risk.

NCBI Description

SEC16B is a mammalian homolog of S. cerevisiae Sec16 that is required for organization of transitional endoplasmic reticulum (ER) sites and protein export (Bhattacharyya and Glick, 2007 [PubMed 17192411]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2009]

Uniprot Description

SEC16B: Required for secretory cargo traffic from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus and for normal transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER) organization. Belongs to the SEC16 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q25.2

Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; endoplasmic reticulum membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle

Biological Process: COPII coating of Golgi vesicle; peroxisome fission; endoplasmic reticulum organization and biogenesis; protein transport; peroxisome organization and biogenesis

Product Notes

The LZTR2 sec16b (Catalog #AAA9405591) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LZTR2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LZTR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LZTR2 sec16b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LZTR2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
