Biological Significance
Neutrophil elastase (or leukocyte elastase) is a serine proteinase in the same family as chymotrypsin and has broad substrate specificity. Secreted by neutrophils during inflammation, it destroys bacteria and host tissue.
Immunogen
Leucocyte elastase antibody was raised in rabbit using human leucocyte elastase as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
