Target Description: KRT1 is a member of the keratin gene family. The type II cytokeratins consist of basic or neutral proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains coexpressed during differentiation of simple and stratified epithelial tissues. This type II cytokeratin is specifically expressed in the spinous and granular layers of the epidermis with family member KRT10 and mutations in these genes have been associated with bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin gene family. Uniprot Description

May regulate the activity of kinases such as PKC and SRC via binding to integrin beta-1 (ITB1) and the receptor of activated protein C kinase 1 (RACK1). In complex with C1QBP is a high affinity receptor for kininogen-1/HMWK.

Product Notes

The KRT1 krt1 (Catalog #AAA3206286) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KRT1 antibody - middle region reacts with Dog, Human, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KRT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KRT1 krt1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GSYGSGSSSG GYRGGSGGGG GGSSGGRGSG GGSSGGSIGG RGSSSGGVKS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KRT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
