Related Product Information for anti-KLF7 antibody
KLF7 (Kruppel Like Factor 7) is a Protein Coding gene. KLF7 is a member of the KLF family of zinc-finger transcription factors and was the first KLF cloned using complementary DNA and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques with human vascular endothelial cells as a template. This protein may contribute to the progression of type 2 diabetes by inhibiting insulin expression and secretion in pancreatic beta-cells and by deregulating adipocytokine secretion in adipocytes. Besides, KLF7 is known as the ubiquitous Kruppel-like factor, as it is widely expressed in numerous human tissues at low levels. KLF7, a transcription factor that stimulates Schwann cell (SC) proliferation and axonal regeneration after peripheral nerve injury, is a promising therapeutic transcription factor in nerve injury.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Kruppel-like transcriptional regulator family. Members in this family regulate cell proliferation, differentiation and survival and contain three C2H2 zinc fingers at the C-terminus that mediate binding to GC-rich sites. This protein may contribute to the progression of type 2 diabetes by inhibiting insulin expression and secretion in pancreatic beta-cells and by deregulating adipocytokine secretion in adipocytes. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]

Uniprot Description

KLF7: Transcriptional activator. Binds in vitro to the CACCC motif of the beta-globin promoter and to the SP1 recognition sequence. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.

Protein type: DNA-binding; C2H2-type zinc finger protein

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q32

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; zinc ion binding; transcription coactivator activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; axon guidance; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; dendrite morphogenesis

Product Notes

The KLF7 klf7 (Catalog #AAA8102256) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KLF7 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KLF7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLF7 klf7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KLF7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
