Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-KIF2A antibody
Kif2a is a kinesin-like motor protein that depolymerizes microtubules. It is found in several vertebrate cell types but is strongly expressed in neuronal cells. In dividing cells it is required for bipolar spindle formation and chromosome segregation. In neuronal cells it is involved in neurite outgrowth.

NCBI Description

Kinesins, such as KIF2, are microtubule-associated motor proteins. For background information on kinesins, see MIM 148760.[supplied by OMIM]

Uniprot Description

KIF2A: Plus end-directed microtubule-dependent motor required for normal brain development. May regulate microtubule dynamics during axonal growth. Required for normal progression through mitosis. Required for normal congress of chromosomes at the metaphase plate. Required for normal spindle dynamics during mitosis. Promotes spindle turnover. Implicated in formation of bipolar mitotic spindles. Has microtubule depolymerization activity. Belongs to the kinesin-like protein family. MCAK/KIF2 subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The KIF2A kif2a (Catalog #AAA618973) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KIF2A (Kinesin Heavy Chain Member 2A, Kinesin-like Protein KIF2A, HK2, Kinesin 2, KNS2, M-Kinesin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KIF2A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KIF2A kif2a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KIF2A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
