NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
KIF20A: Mitotic kinesin required for chromosome passenger complex (CPC)-mediated cytokinesis. Following phosphorylation by PLK1, involved in recruitment of PLK1 to the central spindle. Interacts with guanosine triphosphate (GTP)-bound forms of RAB6A and RAB6B. May act as a motor required for the retrograde RAB6 regulated transport of Golgi membranes and associated vesicles along microtubules. Has a microtubule plus end-directed motility. Belongs to the kinesin-like protein family.
Protein type: Motor; Microtubule-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q31
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; Golgi apparatus; microtubule; kinesin complex; spindle; midbody
Molecular Function: protein binding; transporter activity; microtubule binding; ATPase activity; microtubule motor activity; protein kinase binding; ATP binding

Product Notes
The KIF20A kif20a (Catalog #AAA9210677) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 198-226. The KIF20A Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KIF20A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KIF20A kif20a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KIF20A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
