Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(Immunohistochemical analysis of KIF1B staining in human liver cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a motor protein that transports mitochondria and synaptic vesicle precursors. Mutations in this gene cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, type 2A1. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

KIF1B: a member of the kinesin motor protein family. Motor for anterograde transport of mitochondria. May play a role in synaptic vesicle transport. Has a microtubule plus end-directed motility. Aberrant expression seen in neuroblastoma. Mutated in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

Protein type: Motor; Microtubule-binding

Product Notes

The KIF1B kif1b (Catalog #AAA8245342) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KIF1B Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KIF1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1/500 - 1/2000; IHC: 1/50 - 1/200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KIF1B kif1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KIF1B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
