NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor for both human hepatitis A virus (HHAV) and TIMD4. The encoded protein may be involved in the moderation of asthma and allergic diseases. The reference genome represents an allele that retains a MTTVP amino acid segment that confers protection against atopy in HHAV seropositive individuals. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]
Uniprot Description
TIM-1: May play a role in T-helper cell development and the regulation of asthma and allergic diseases. Receptor for TIMD4. In case of human hepatitis A virus (HHAV) infection, functions as a cell-surface receptor for the virus. May play a role in kidney injury and repair. Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. TIM family.

Product Notes
The Kim1 havcr1 (Catalog #
AAA2115692) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HRP-Linked Polyclonal Antibody to Kidney Injury Molecule 1 (Kim1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Kidney Injury Molecule 1 (Kim1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Kim1 havcr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Ser21~Thr2 93.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Kidney Injury Molecule 1 (Kim1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
