Related Product Information for anti-KGF antibody
Rabbit anti Human KGF antibody recognizes human KGF (keratinocyte growth factor), a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which acts as a potent mitogen of epithelial cells, predominantly of keratinocyte origin. KGF is secreted by fibroblasts in response to stimulation from inflammatory mediators, including IL-1 beta and PDGF-BB (platelet-derived growth factor B), and binds specifically to a splice variant of the FGF receptor 2 (FGFR2-IIIb), known as the KGF receptor.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein is a potent epithelial cell-specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Studies of mouse and rat homologs of this gene implicated roles in morphogenesis of epithelium, reepithelialization of wounds, hair development and early lung organogenesis. Product Notes

The KGF fgf7 (Catalog #AAA221721) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's KGF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB). ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 0.5ug/ml; Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 0.56; Maximum Dilution: 0.85ug/ml; Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires enzyme mediated antigen retrieval prior to staining of parrafin sections. Proteinase K is recomended for this purpose. Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KGF fgf7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KGF, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
