Rabbit KCNA4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KCNA4 antibody
KCNA4 Antibody (C-term)
voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural
standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating
neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal
excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle
contraction, and cell volume. Four sequence-related potassium
channel genes - shaker, shaw, shab, and shal - have been identified
in Drosophila, and each has been shown to have human homolog(s).
This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated,
shaker-related subfamily. This member contains six
membrane-spanning domains with a shaker-type repeat in the fourth
segment. It belongs to the A-type potassium current class, the
members of which may be important in the regulation of the fast
repolarizing phase of action potentials in heart and thus may
influnce the duration of cardiac action potential. The coding
region of this gene is intronless, and the gene is clustered with
genes KCNA3 and KCNA10 on chromosome 1.

Uniprot Description
Kv1.4: Mediates the voltage-dependent potassium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a potassium-selective channel through which potassium ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. Belongs to the potassium channel family. A (Shaker) (TC 1.A.1.2) subfamily. Kv1.4/KCNA4 sub-subfamily.
Protein type: Channel, potassium; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p14
Cellular Component: voltage-gated potassium channel complex; integral to plasma membrane; axon; plasma membrane; integral to membrane
Molecular Function: potassium ion binding; protein binding; voltage-gated potassium channel activity; delayed rectifier potassium channel activity
Biological Process: synaptic transmission; protein homooligomerization; potassium ion transport

Product Notes
The KCNA4 kcna4 (Catalog #AAA9212240) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 591-619. The KCNA4 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Mouse, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCNA4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCNA4 kcna4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCNA4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
