Human sequence is found in one of the alternatively spliced form of the human KCC3 (1099 aa; Hiki K et al (1999). The other form of the human KCC3a (1150 aa; Mount DB et al 1999) does not share this sequence. We have raised another antibody using the C-terminal peptide sequence that is found in both forms of KCC3. Has no significant sequence homology iwith other KCCs or CCC. Antibody crossreactivity in various species is not established. We recommend the use of control peptide to establish antibody specificity

Immunogen
An 19-aa peptide sequence within the cytoplasmic, N-terminus of human KCC3 (1099aa; Hiki et al, 1999) was used to generate anti-KCC3. The peptide was coupled with KLH (carrier protein)
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
