Related Product Information for anti-oprk1 antibody
Endogenous opioid peptides and opiates, like morphine, transmit their pharmacological effects through membrane bound opioid receptors. Pharmacological studies and molecular cloning have led to the identification of three different types of opioid receptor, mu-type, delta-type and kappa-type, also designated MOR-1, DOR-1 and KOR-1, respectively. MOR-1 is a receptor for beta-endorphin, DOR-1 is a receptor for enkephalins, and KOR-1 is a receptor for dynorphins. The three opioid receptor types are highly homologous and belong to the superfamily of G-protein-coupled receptors. Opioid receptors have been shown to modulate a range of brain functions, including instinctive behavior and emotions. This regulation is thought to involve the inhibition of neurotransmitter release by reducing calcium ion currents and increasing potassium ion conductance.

Product Notes

The oprk1 oprk1 (Catalog #AAA4755345) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The phospho-Kappa Opioid Receptor (Ser369) Rabbit pAb reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Kappa Opioid Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:100-1:300 ELISA: 1:10,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the oprk1 oprk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kappa Opioid Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
