Uniprot Description

IRR: Receptor with tyrosine-protein kinase activity. Functions as a pH sensing receptor which is activated by increased extracellular pH. Activates an intracellular signaling pathway that involves IRS1 and AKT1/PKB. Probable tetramer of 2 alpha and 2 beta chains linked by disulfide bonds. The alpha chains contribute to the formation of the ligand-binding domain, while the beta chains carry the kinase domain. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. Insulin receptor subfamily.

Protein type: EC 2.7.10.1; InsR family; Kinase, protein; Membrane protein, integral; Protein kinase, TK; Protein kinase, tyrosine (receptor); TK group

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23.1

Cellular Component: integral component of plasma membrane; receptor complex

Molecular Function: ATP binding; insulin receptor substrate binding; phosphoinositide 3-kinase binding; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase activity

Biological Process: actin cytoskeleton reorganization; cellular response to alkaline pH; male sex determination; peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; protein autophosphorylation; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway

Product Notes

The INSRR insrr (Catalog #AAA2033819) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Insulin Receptor Related Receptor (INSRR) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Insulin Receptor Related Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, ELISA (EIA). Western blotting: 1:50-400 Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 1:50-500 Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay: 1:100-1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the INSRR insrr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Insulin Receptor Related Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
