Related Product Information for anti-IMPA1 antibody
This gene encodes an enzyme that dephosphorylates myo-inositol monophosphate to generate free myo-inositol, a precursor of phosphatidylinositol, and is therefore an important modulator of intracellular signal transduction via the production of the second messengers myoinositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol. This enzyme can also use myo-inositol-1,3-diphosphate, myo-inositol-1,4-diphosphate, scyllo-inositol-phosphate, glucose-1-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-1-phosphate, beta-glycerophosphate, and 2'-AMP as substrates.

Uniprot Description

IMPA1: Responsible for the provision of inositol required for synthesis of phosphatidylinositol and polyphosphoinositides and has been implicated as the pharmacological target for lithium action in brain. Can use myo-inositol monophosphates, myo-inositol 1,3-diphosphate, myo-inositol 1,4-diphosphate, scyllo-inositol- phosphate, glucose-1-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-1- phosphate, beta-glycerophosphate, and 2'-AMP as substrates. Belongs to the inositol monophosphatase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Carbohydrate Metabolism - inositol phosphate; EC 3.1.3.25; EC 3.1.3.94; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Phosphatase (non-protein)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q21.13-q21.3

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; inositol-1(or 4)-monophosphatase activity; lithium ion binding; magnesium ion binding; manganese ion binding; protein binding; protein homodimerization activity

Biological Process: inositol metabolic process; inositol phosphate dephosphorylation; inositol phosphate metabolic process; phosphate metabolic process; phosphatidylinositol biosynthetic process; signal transduction

Product Notes

The IMPA1 impa1 (Catalog #AAA9416223) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IMPA1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IMPA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IMPA1 impa1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IMPA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
