NCBI Description

This gene encodes a subunit of a cytokine that acts on T and natural killer cells, and has a broad array of biological activities. The cytokine is a disulfide-linked heterodimer composed of the 35-kD subunit encoded by this gene, and a 40-kD subunit that is a member of the cytokine receptor family. This cytokine is required for the T-cell-independent induction of interferon (IFN)-gamma, and is important for the differentiation of both Th1 and Th2 cells. The responses of lymphocytes to this cytokine are mediated by the activator of transcription protein STAT4. Nitric oxide synthase 2A (NOS2A/NOS2) is found to be required for the signaling process of this cytokine in innate immunity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The IL12 p35 il12a (Catalog #AAA541851) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL12 p35 Antibody Affinity Purified reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL12 p35 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Dot Blot: 1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL12 p35 il12a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL12 p35, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
