RABBIT ANTI IFN BETA

Gene Names
IFNB1; IFB; IFF; IFNB
Reactivity
Mouse
Applications
Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot
Synonyms
IFN BETA; Polyclonal Antibody; RABBIT ANTI IFN BETA; anti-IFN BETA antibody
Ordering

Host
Rabbit
Reactivity
Mouse
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
This item recognises interferon beta (IFN-beta), a 22kD member of the type I alpha/beta interferon family. IFN beta, initially described as fibroblast interferon, is produced predominantly by fibroblasts and some epithelial cells. Type 1 interferons are produced primarily in response to viral infections as part of the host immune response and can also inhibit the development of tumours. IFN-beta is involved in the regulation of non-specific humoural immune responses and responses against viral infections.

Applicable Applications for anti-IFN BETA antibody
Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 15kDa in A20 cell lysates.
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 5ug/ml
Perservative Stabilisers
0.02% Sodium Azide
Immunogen
A 17 amino acid peptide located near the centre of human IFN Beta.
Buffer Solution
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human IFN Beta were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species
Human
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Product Notes

The IFN BETA ifnb1 (Catalog #AAA223102) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI IFN BETA reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IFN BETA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB). Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFN BETA ifnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFN BETA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
