Uniprot Description

HUWE1: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Regulates apoptosis by catalyzing the polyubiquitination and degradation of MCL1. Mediates monoubiquitination of DNA polymerase beta (POLB) at 'Lys-41', 'Lys-61' and 'Lys-81', thereby playing a role in base-excision repair. Also ubiquitinates the p53/TP53 tumor suppressor and core histones including H1, H2A, H2B, H3 and H4. Binds to an upstream initiator-like sequence in the preprodynorphin gene. Regulates neural differentiation and proliferation by catalyzing the polyubiquitination and degradation of MYCN. May regulate abundance of CDC6 after DNA damage by polyubiquitinating and targeting CDC6 to degradation. Interacts with isoform p14ARF of CDKN2A which strongly inhibits HUWE1 ubiquitin ligase activity. Interacts with MYCN, POLB and CDC6. Weakly expressed in heart, brain and placenta but not in other tissues. Expressed in a number of cell lines, predominantly in those from colorectal carcinomas. Belongs to the TOM1/PTR1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Huwe1 huwe1 (Catalog #AAA565793) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Huwe1 (mouse) polyclonal antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Huwe1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot (1:100), An initial dilution of 1:100 is recommended due to the dilute nature of the immunoaffinity purified antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Huwe1 huwe1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Huwe1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
