NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. This gene encodes one of the histamine receptors (H3) which belongs to the family 1 of G protein-coupled receptors. It is an integral membrane protein and can regulate neurotransmitter release. This receptor can also increase voltage-dependent calcium current in smooth muscles and innervates the blood vessels and the heart in cardiovascular system. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
H3R: The H3 subclass of histamine receptors could mediate the histamine signals in CNS and peripheral nervous system. Signals through the inhibition of adenylate cyclase and displays high constitutive activity (spontaneous activity in the absence of agonist). Agonist stimulation of isoform 3 niether modified adenylate cyclase activity nor induced intracellular calcium mobilization. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The HRH3 hrh3 (Catalog #AAA422055) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-HRH3 Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Cow, etc and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HRH3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments in Human Brain (Hippocampus) and in Rat Brain lysates gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HRH3 hrh3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ERPRSLKRGS KP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HRH3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
