This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against HOXC11. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: HOXC11 belongs to the homeobox family. The homeobox family is a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. HOXC11 is one of several homeobox HOXC proteins. HOXC11 binds to a promoter element of the lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. It may also play a role in early intestinal development. This gene belongs to the homeobox family of genes. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, which are located on different chromosomes and consist of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. This gene is one of several homeobox HOXC genes located in a cluster on chromosome 12. The product of this gene binds to a promoter element of the lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. It also may play a role in early intestinal development. An alternatively spliced variant encoding a shorter isoform has been described but its full-length nature has not been determined.

Product Notes

The HOXC11 hoxc11 (Catalog #AAA3201069) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HOXC11 antibody - middle region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HOXC11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HOXC11 hoxc11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: DRFFDNAYCG GGDPPAEPPC SGKGEAKGEP EAPPASGLAS RAEAGAEAEA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HOXC11, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
