Related Product Information for anti-HNRPAB antibody
This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are produced by RNA polymerase II and are components of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) complexes. They are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene, which binds to one of the components of the multiprotein editosome complex, has two repeats of quasi-RRM (RNA recognition motif) domains that bind to RNAs.

NCBI Description

Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

hnRNP A/B: a single-stranded RNA binding protein with two RNA-recognition (RRM) domains. Has a high affinity for G- rich and U-rich regions of hnRNA. Also binds to APOB mRNA transcripts around the RNA editing site. Interacts with APOBEC1. Observed in a mRNP granule complex, at least composed of ACTB, ACTN4, DHX9, ERG, HNRNPA1, HNRNPA2B1, HNRNPAB, HNRNPD, HNRNPL, HNRNPR, HNRNPU, HSPA1, HSPA8, IGF2BP1, ILF2, ILF3, NCBP1, NCL, PABPC1, PABPC4, PABPN1, RPLP0, RPS3, RPS3A, RPS4X, RPS8, RPS9, SYNCRIP, TROVE2, YBX1 and untranslated mRNAs. A member of the RNA recognition motif (RRM) family. Four isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The HNRPAB hnrnpab (Catalog #AAA6307553) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HNRPAB, NT (HNRNPAB, ABBP1, HNRPAB, Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A/B, APOBEC1-binding protein 1) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HNRPAB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HNRPAB hnrnpab for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HNRPAB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
