Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse HMGA1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HMGA1 antibody
HMGA1, CT (HMGA1, HMGIY, High mobility group protein HMG-I/HMG-Y, High mobility group AT-hook protein 1, High mobility group protein R) (AP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:50-100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent image of A549 cell stained with HMGA1 Antibody (C-term).A549 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with HMGA1 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree C). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree C).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree C).HMGA1 immunoreactivity is localized to Nucleus significantly. )
Western Blot (WB)
(HMGA1 Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the HMGA1 antibody detected the HMGA1 protein (arrow).)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(HMGA1 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of MCF-7 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a non-histone protein involved in many cellular processes, including regulation of inducible gene transcription, integration of retroviruses into chromosomes, and the metastatic progression of cancer cells. The encoded protein preferentially binds to the minor groove of A+T-rich regions in double-stranded DNA. It has little secondary structure in solution but assumes distinct conformations when bound to substrates such as DNA or other proteins. The encoded protein is frequently acetylated and is found in the nucleus. At least seven transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. Uniprot Description
HMGA1: HMG-I/Y bind preferentially to the minor groove of A+T rich regions in double stranded DNA. It is suggested that these proteins could function in nucleosome phasing and in the 3'-end processing of mRNA transcripts. They are also involved in the transcription regulation of genes containing, or in close proximity to A+T-rich regions. A chromosomal aberration involving HMGA1 is found in pulmonary chondroid hamartoma. Translocation t(6;14)(p21;q23-24) with RAD51B. Belongs to the HMGA family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The HMGA1 hmga1 (Catalog #AAA6307220) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HMGA1, CT (HMGA1, HMGIY, High mobility group protein HMG-I/HMG-Y, High mobility group AT-hook protein 1, High mobility group protein R) (AP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HMGA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HMGA1 hmga1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HMGA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
