Rabbit Histone H2B Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HIST1H2BC antibody
Anti-Histone H2B (TriMethyl K43) Methyl Antibody
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of Histone H2B (TriMethyl K43) expression in Hela (A), NIH3T3 (B) whole cell lysates.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemical analysis of Histone H2B (TriMethyl K43) staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a testis/sperm-specific member of the histone H2B family. Transcripts from this gene contain a palindromic termination element. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
Uniprot Description
H2B1A: Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling. The nucleosome is a histone octamer containing two molecules each of H2A, H2B, H3 and H4 assembled in one H3-H4 heterotetramer and two H2A-H2B heterodimers. The octamer wraps approximately 147 bp of DNA. Transcribed exclusively in testis, and the corresponding protein is also present in mature sperm. Belongs to the histone H2B family.

Product Notes
The HIST1H2BC hist1h2ba (Catalog #AAA8242812) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Histone H2B (TriMethyl K43) Methyl Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Histone H2B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: (1/500 - 1/1000); Immunohistochemistry: (1/200 - 1/500). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HIST1H2BC hist1h2ba for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Histone H2B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
