Specificity
The spiral shaped bacterium Helicobacter pylori is strongly associated with inflammation of the stomach and is also implicated in the development of gastric malignancy. H. pylori is known to cause peptic ulcers and chronic gastritis in human. It is associated with duodenal ulcers and may be involved in development of adenocarcinoma and low-grade lymphoma of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue in the stomach. This antibody stains the individual H. pylori bacterium when it presents on the surface of the epithelium or in the cytoplasm of the epithelial cells in biopsy tissue sections from the antrum and body of the stomach.
Form/Format
200ug/ml of Ab Purified from rabbit anti-serum by Protein A. Prepared in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA at 1.0mg/ml.
Applicable Applications for anti-Helicobacter Pylori antibody
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistology (IH)
Application Notes
Flow Cytometry (0.5-1ug/million cells); Immunofluorescence (1-2ug/ml); Immunohistology (formalin-fixed) (1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes) Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Localization
Cell surface and cytoplasm
Positive Control
Helicobacter pylori infected stomach biopsy
Immunogen
Total sonicate of Helicobacter pylori
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2 to 8 degree C. Antibody is stable for 24 months.

Product Notes

The Helicobacter Pylori (Catalog #AAA438144) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Helicobacter Pylori reacts with Helicobacter pylori and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Helicobacter Pylori can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistology (IH). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Helicobacter Pylori for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Helicobacter Pylori, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
