Related Product Information for anti-HDAC8 antibody
Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. The protein encoded by HDAC8 gene belongs to class I of the histone deacetylase family. It catalyzes the deacetylation of lysine residues in the histone N-terminal tails and represses transcription in large multiprotein complexes with transcriptional co-repressors. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

HDAC8: Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. May play a role in smooth muscle cell contractility. Belongs to the histone deacetylase family. HD type 1 subfamily. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The HDAC8 hdac8 (Catalog #AAA9400985) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HDAC8 (Phospho-Ser39) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HDAC8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Immunohistochemistry: 1:50~1:100 Immunofluorescence: 1:100~1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HDAC8 hdac8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HDAC8, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
