Uniprot Description
GTF3C4: Essential for RNA polymerase III to make a number of small nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs, including 5S RNA, tRNA, and adenovirus-associated (VA) RNA of both cellular and viral origin. Has histone acetyltransferase activity (HAT) with unique specificity for free and nucleosomal H3. May cooperate with GTF3C5 in facilitating the recruitment of TFIIIB and RNA polymerase through direct interactions with BRF1, POLR3C and POLR3F. May be localized close to the A box. Belongs to the TFIIIC subunit 4 family.
Protein type: EC 2.3.1.48; Acetyltransferase
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34.13
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; transcription factor TFIIIC complex
Molecular Function: protein binding; histone acetyltransferase activity; DNA binding; enzyme activator activity
Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter; positive regulation of catalytic activity; transcription initiation from RNA polymerase III promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent; 5S class rRNA transcription; gene expression; histone acetylation; tRNA transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter
Product Notes
The GTF3C4 gtf3c4 (Catalog #
AAA9434528) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GTF3C4 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GTF3C4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GTF3C4 gtf3c4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"GTF3C4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
