Related Product Information for anti-GHRH antibody
Glucagon is a member of a multigene family comprising of Secretin, Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP), Gastric Inhibitory Peptide (GIP) and others like Glicentin and Oxyntomodulin (OXM), which differs from glucagon by C-terminal octapeptide.  The glucagon precursor contains at least 3 intervening sequences that divide the protein-coding portion into 4 regions corresponding to the signal peptide and part of the N-terminal peptide, the remainder of the N-terminal peptide and glucagon, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP1), and GLP2. The GLP 1 & 2 stimulates intestinal growth and upregulates villus height in the small intestine, concomitant with increased crupt cell proliferation and decreased enterocyte apoptosis. The two GLP's are mainly produced in the A cells of the Islets of Langerhans in response to a drop in blood sugar concentration.

Product Notes

The GHRH ghrh (Catalog #AAA617567) is an Antibody produced from Host: Rabbit Source: Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti - Growth Hormone Releasing Factor (GHRF, GHRH) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Growth Hormone Releasing Factor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blot. Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using Chemiluminescence technique. ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml; Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml. See G9000-19T. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GHRH ghrh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth Hormone Releasing Factor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
