Related Product Information for anti-Grm8 antibody
Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor GRM8 binds L-glutamate, the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, which activates both ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors. Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function and can be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions. Based on sequence homology, putative signal transduction mechanisms, and pharmacologic properties, GRM8 has been placed in Group III along with GRM4, GRM6, and GRM7. Group II and Group III receptors are linked to inhibition of the cyclic AMP signaling cascade, but differ in their agonist selectivities. Three isoforms of GRM8 are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Grm8 grm8 (Catalog #AAA6000402) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GRM8, CT (GRM8, GPRC1H, MGLUR8, Metabotropic glutamate receptor 8) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GRM8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Grm8 grm8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRM8, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
