NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. The encoded protein is found primarily in motor neurons, where it forms a heterotetramer with GRIN1 to create an excitatory glycine receptor. Variations in this gene have been proposed to be linked to schizophrenia. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Uniprot Description
NMDAR3B: NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels with reduced single-channel conductance, low calcium permeability and low voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Mediated by glycine. Belongs to the glutamate-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.10.1) family. NR3B/GRIN3B subfamily.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.3

Product Notes
The GRIN3B grin3b (Catalog #AAA422424) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-GRIN3B Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GRIN3B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 8000. Western Blot: Approx 110kDa band observed in Human Brain (Cerebellum and Cerebral Cortex) lysates (calculated MW of 113kDa according to NP_619635.1). Recommended concentration: 0.5-1.5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRIN3B grin3b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: EAPPHSGRPG SQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRIN3B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
