Uniprot Description

GPR39: Zn(2+) acts as a agonist. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Its effect is mediated mainly through G(q)-alpha and G(12)/G(13) proteins. Involved in regulation of body weight, gastrointestinal mobility, hormone secretion and cell death. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q21-q22

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway

Product Notes

The GPR39 gpr39 (Catalog #AAA7129019) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPR39 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPR39 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000 WB: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPR39 gpr39 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR39, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
