Rabbit anti-Human GPAA1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-GPAA1 antibody
GPAA1, NT (GPAA1, GAA1, Glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor attachment 1 protein, GAA1 protein homolog) (MaxLight 750)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in U251 cell line lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS6009573. This demonstrates that MBS6009573 detected the GPAA1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human skeletal muscle using MBS6009573 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS6009573 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow Cytometric analysis of U251 cells using MBS6009573 (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Posttranslational glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor attachment serves as a general mechanism for linking proteins to the cell surface membrane. The protein encoded by this gene presumably functions in GPI anchoring at the GPI transfer step. The mRNA transcript is ubiquitously expressed in both fetal and adult tissues. The anchor attachment protein 1 contains an N-terminal signal sequence, 1 cAMP- and cGMP-dependent protein kinase phosphorylation site, 1 leucine zipper pattern, 2 potential N-glycosylation sites, and 8 putative transmembrane domains. Uniprot Description
GPAA1: Essential for GPI-anchoring of precursor proteins but not for GPI synthesis. Acts before or during formation of the carbonyl intermediate. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Glycan Metabolism - glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis; Endoplasmic reticulum; Membrane protein, multi-pass
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q24.3
Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; membrane; GPI-anchor transamidase complex
Molecular Function: tubulin binding; protein binding; GPI-anchor transamidase activity

Product Notes
The GPAA1 gpaa1 (Catalog #AAA6303423) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPAA1, NT (GPAA1, GAA1, Glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor attachment 1 protein, GAA1 protein homolog) (MaxLight 750) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPAA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPAA1 gpaa1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPAA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
