Applicable Applications for Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) secondary antibody
Indirect immunofluorescence, ELISA, Dot blot, Immunoblotting.
Application Notes
Working dilutions from histochemical and cytochemical use are usually between 1:100 and 1:500; in ELISA and comparable non-precipitating antibody-binding assays between 1:500-1:5,000.
Precipitin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal human serum in agar immunodiffusion block titration.
Product type
Secondary Antibodies
Source
A pool of purified Bence Jones lambda proteins isolated from human urine. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Product
Purified hyperimmune goat IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2). No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity.
Reactivity Note
Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins and their fragments, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiSerum has not been tested in detail.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized product is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 degree C; prolonged storage at or below -20 degree C. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20 degree C. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4 degree C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the product. Lyophilized at +4 degree C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20 degree C --3-5 years. Reconstituted at +4 degree C-7 days.
Related Product Information for Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) secondary antibody
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the surface and hidden determinants of Ig lambda light chain. In immunoelectrophoresis this antiserum is reacting with polyclonal and monoclonal immunoglobulins of the lambda type, Bence Jones proteins as well as free light chains of the lambda type. This antiserum does not react with any other protein of human serum or plasma. This IgG preparation is intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding immunoassays (indirect immunofluorescence, enzyme immunoassays for the detection of polyclonal immunoglobulins, purified monoclonal immunoglobulins of the lambda type as well as free light chains or Bence Jones proteins of the lambda type in serum or other body fluids; to prepare an insoluble immunoaffinity adsorbent or a solid phase catching antibody reagent by coupling to an artificial carrier; for labeling with a marker of the user’s own choice. When applied in any cytochemical or histochemical procedure or solids phase coupling technique, the optimum concentration of the IgG preparation should always be established by titration.

Product Notes

The Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) (Catalog #AAA571721) is a Secondary Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Indirect immunofluorescence, ELISA, Dot blot, Immunoblotting. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound) for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Goat anti Human Ig lambda light chains (free and bound), Polyclonal Secondary Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
