Rabbit Glycogen Synthase Polyclonal Antibody | anti-GYS antibody
Phospho-Glycogen Synthase (Tyr44) Antibody
Predicted: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog
Predicted: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog
IHC: 1:50-1:200
ELISA (Peptide): 1:20000-1:40000
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(At 1/100 staining human liver tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of Phospho-Glycogen Synthase (Tyr44) in lysates of NIH-3T3 , using Phospho-Glycogen Synthase (Tyr44) Antibody.)
Post Translational Modifications: Phosphorylation at Ser-8 by AMPK inactivates the enzyme activity. Primed phosphorylation at Ser-657 (site 5) by CSNK2A1 and CSNK2A2 is required for inhibitory phosphorylation at Ser-641 (site 3a), Ser-645 (site 3b), Ser-649 (site 3c) and Ser-653 (site 4) by GSK3A an GSK3B (By similarity). Phosphorylated at Ser-641 by DYRK2, leading to inactivation (By similarity). Phosphorylated at Ser-641 by PASK, leading to inactivation; phosphorylation by PASK is inhibited by glycogen. Dephosphorylation at Ser-641 and Ser-645 by PP1 activates the enzyme.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with GYG1.
Similarity: Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 3 family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 84 kDa
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the addition of glucose monomers to the growing glycogen molecule through the formation of alpha-1,4-glycoside linkages. Mutations in this gene are associated with muscle glycogen storage disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Product Notes
The GYS gys1 (Catalog #AAA9610587) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-Glycogen Synthase (Tyr44) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Glycogen Synthase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Peptide ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ELISA (Peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GYS gys1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glycogen Synthase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
