Related Product Information for anti-GIT1 antibody
GTPase-activating protein for the ADP ribosylation factor family. May serve as a scaffold to bring together molecules to form signaling modules controlling vesicle trafficking, adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. Increases the speed of cell migration, as well as the size and rate of formation of protrusions, possibly by targeting PAK1 to adhesions and the leading edge of lamellipodia. Sequesters inactive non-tyrosine-phosphorylated paxillin in cytoplasmic complexes.Premont R.T., J. Biol. Uniprot Description

GIT1: a multidomain, adaptor protein that regulates cellular processes, such as migration and protrusive activity, by bringing together various signaling molecules, including PIX, PAK, and paxillin. Phosphorylation on Ser-709 increases its binding to paxillin and regulates cellular protrusions. Possesses ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) GTPase-activating protein (GAP) activity. Functions as part of a multi-molecular signaling complex that regulates membrane protrusions and cell migration. Regulates PLC-gamma activation by c-Src and integrates signal transduction by G protein coupled receptors (GPCR)s and tyrosine kinase receptors (TKRs).

Protein type: GAPs, ARF; GAPs; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p11.2

Cellular Component: focal adhesion; membrane; cytoplasm; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; zinc ion binding

Biological Process: axon guidance; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; regulation of cytokinesis; regulation of G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; positive regulation of GTPase activity

Product Notes

The GIT1 git1 (Catalog #AAA9408882) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GIT1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GIT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:500~1:3000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50~1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GIT1 git1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GIT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
