Related Product Information for anti-GATA2 antibody
The zinc finger transcription factor GATA-2 is widely expressed and plays an essential role in many developmental processes (1). Studies on GATA-2 knockout mice indicate that this protein is required in hematopoiesis (2). GATA-2 also inhibits the differentiation of white (3) and brown adipocytes (4) and has been shown to suppress the proliferation of neuronal progenitor cells (5).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors that are named for the consensus nucleotide sequence they bind in the promoter regions of target genes. The encoded protein plays an essential role in regulating transcription of genes involved in the development and proliferation of hematopoietic and endocrine cell lineages. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Uniprot Description

GATA2: Transcriptional activator which regulates endothelin-1 gene expression in endothelial cells. Binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3'. Endothelial cells. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The GATA2 gata2 (Catalog #AAA613896) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GATA2 (GATA Binding Factor 2, GATA Binding Protein 2) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GATA2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GATA2 gata2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GATA2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
